• Writing experience, whether professional or hobbyist with basic understanding of online blogging (further training provided).
•  
• Availability for 3-4 articles a month. This can take the form of interviews, covering events, product/service reviews, advice pieces or newsworthy stories.
•  
• Excellent writing skills in English (essential).

About the job:

• Seek and secure advertising revenue for Sovereign magazine and sister publications to ensure commercial targets are met.
• Liaise with advertisers to build and maintain lasting relationships
• Record all interactions in our online CRM database

About you:

• Self-motivated with a desire to succeed
• Previous sales experience
  Existing prospect/lead database desirable but not necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• • Write and edit blog posts on the website.
  • Write press releases on behalf of the company.
  • Proofread, re-structure and edit articles by content writers.
  • Update our website and social media pages with new content.
  • Optimise published pieces using SEO guidelines
  • Manage the online editorial calendar and ensure timely publication
  • Generate new ideas around industry-related topics
  • Monitor web traffic and user engagement (e.g. bounce rates)

Requirements

• Work experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor, Journalist or similar role.
• Examples of existing work.
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, advanced skills preferable.
• Familiarity with SEO and keyword research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the wider team.
• Pro-active self-starter and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team with an eye for detail, and a curious mindset.
